I decided to interrupt the normal flow of ideas here to mention Campaign Rhetoric. Campaign Rhetoric, as we all know, is what persons running for office say as they give speeches at various places.
Sometimes what they say gives the popular press a field day and sometimes what they say actually works in their favor. If a candidate makes comments that their campaign is going to be different than all the rest; then imagine the horror when a staff member makes comments about the opposition.
The only way that Obama can maintain the high ground is to get that staff member to step down. Voluntary or involuntary if he wants to maintain that his campaign represents a departure form the status quo, then that person has got to go.
So remember the lesson here, words matter.
