Down The Sewer Pipe – Politically Speaking

The numbers of public officials, elected and otherwise, that have portrayed themselves as middle of the road or conservative, are many.  The greater numbers of these people have hidden agendas. That is to say they will tell you one thing while really wanting to do another

Presidents are not immune to this sort of thing, just look at the Bill Clinton election. He portrayed himself as a middle of the read democrat, while in reality he was an ultra liberal.  Liberalism tends to hide, because if it comes out in full view the voters go conservative.  This is what happened to both Kerry and Gore, and has happened to Byron and Nadir.

The general public often views politicians as crooks, devoid of any moral spine.  The reasons are, hidden agendas, that after they become known alienate the very voters that placed them in office to begin with.  Hidden agendas are also one of many reasons that well educated people look like rank idiots after taking office.

If you wish to hold office for more than a single term, be open, honest and accomplish much while in office.  Then you need to dispose of hidden agendas.  If you do not then the hypocritical life you have lived in office, will dog you when you are finally out of office.  My presumption has been that you wish to govern in an open and honest manor.  Should you want to keep a hidden agenda then you can and join your fellows in the shared journey, down the sewer pipe – politically speaking
