That change can be unexpected, and sudden. Emergency’s, like fires, weather related events, protracted health emergency’s can have effects that change how people view you, and what you do. Populations can become angary because someone in the office, that you now hold, made promisses that are either:

• Not realistic
• Not possible to do

How you handle this anger is largely up to you, but I suggest that you listen, be honest, be forthright, keep to the facts and the truth. Staying positive can be a problimatic, but sticking to the facts without name calling can help adjust attitudes.
